As we already know, Indonesia is going to hold national election day in April 17th 2019. In this year election, I am becoming more excited than the one I did 5 years ago, which is on that day I was only in my first year in university. I watched so many video on youtube or even in television regarding which party is more better than another, which is doing what's right and wrong, and many hoax is spreading in the online news which I also make sure what information I get is already based on the facts, not only blackmailing another party.

After so many information is becoming euphoria on the internet, which makes me the most interesting to fulfill my thirst of the information who will be my decision in the election day is even coming from my family. Let me tell you some of my family backgrounds first. Our family is really ordinary, so ordinary until I can say my family is really plain. Which we never really had some serious problem or even serious excitement. That condition made me think that we are allergies for something so extreme. We are not used to getting something different than the usual. I ever talking to my mom about what she thought about my brother's girlfriend which she is minang (her race is padangnese). And she didn't really like the idea of it. She thought that padangnese girl is materialistic and only think about her family, not the spouse's family. I can't against a hundred percent of her opinion because it happens to my aunt. But after I gave my opinion which it is okay to have a girlfriend who is minang, as long as she is moslem and furthermore she is wearing hijab. But my mother respond is somewhat unexpected. My mom suddenly said that I shouldn't think like a liberal person. After hearing that kind of statement, I thought it really not acceptable.

Second opinion that I heard from also my mom first but I verified to my father too. I asked them who to choose on the election day. They only said 'just choose this party'. I respond to them like, 'Ok this party, but whom to choose? there are so many delegations there. But they can't even say a name. They only think they must choose at one party because of the vision this party made. But I can't accept that the vision of the party may be right but I can't believe in the individual. So many of politicians becoming corruptor, even they belong to the known and credible party.

So I became more and more interest in this kind of discussion, because if anyone asks me the same question and I say the same thing which my parents said. It is a loss for me. I will feel that I don't think this election as an important thing. This only happens once in five years. And if I underestimate my decision, I think I will fail as a good citizen and I don't even respect those genuine politicians who may be fighting for this election from scratch. If you read this writing, please I beg you to be a good citizen, at least you do know why you choose your decision on the election day.
